We offer training in three modes:
 
1. ActivInspire Professional Development (Free when you purchase from us):
 
Empowered Learning's dedicated training team provide educators with the necessary skills to effectively use ICT in the classroom. When you buy any hardware from our Promethean range - our training is FREE. Our motto is "Whatever you buy from us, we will Empower you to use" 
 
2. Half and full day ActivInspire courses, at your school:
 
Full day $849 and half day $549
The content and arrangement of this day would be negotiated between yourselves and our trainers.  For example you may want to work with a particular stage or faculty. You may want to divide your staff into different groups such as beginners, intermediate and advanced.  This arrangement is more flexible in terms of the number of people who could be accommodated, as well as the timing of the day. 
 
3. Online Courses:
 
$299 per person
Empowered Learning's Level 3 Accredited trainers offer an online Level 2 course similar to the Lesson Planning and Curriculum Integration course (see below). this is an ideal way for educators to complete 16 hours of pedagogical training at a pace determined by you. Your tutor will work with you, guiding you through the 8 modules. At the completion of the course, you will receive an official Promethean Level 2 Certificate.

Empowered Learning's Professional Development Philosophy

Most interactive whiteboard Professional Development sessions that have been provided for teachers focus on the 'tools', showing you all the whizz bang features of a particular software package or whiteboard - "Death by Tools'!!  Some of these ‘training’ sessions are provided free of charge, others are costly but not cost effective.

At Empowered Learning, we believe in empowering teachers to enhance their teaching, and because we are teachers we understand how ‘time poor’ teachers can be, and that Professional Development needs to address their needs in a practical classroom environment.

 

Our Professional Development is designed then to allow teachers to confidently and comfortably integrate these technologies into their existing classrooms, providing tools and resources to ‘get them up and running’ quickly whilst encouraging them to explore more creative ways of developing their own techniques.

 

We assist teachers to look at how they can use their existing resources, to find great lessons and tools that other teachers have already spent time developing (and how to flavour them to the own needs).

We help teachers to explore some of the ways using ActivInspire's features can make lesson preparation faster and simpler, and more stimulating and interactive for both teachers and students.

ActivInspire Classroom 'Setup' for Empowered Learning Customers

Empowered Learning's dedicated training team provide educators with the necessary skills to effectively use ICT in the classroom. When you buy any hardware from our Promethean range - our inital training is FREE. Our motto is "Whatever you buy from us, we will Empower you to use" 

Once your new hardware has been installed, Empowered Learning will conduct an initial 1-2 hour session in the classroom, to ensure teachers know how the system works.
